Father's Day celebration

I got a jolly good chance to celebrate Fatehr's Day this year. We were having a get together and it was co-incidentally on the 17th of June. It was a wonderful chnace to celebrate for us, the new parents...and so planned out a surprise treat for Hubby on his First Father's Day....and also treats for all the Dads on our guest list.

Thansk to fellow bloggers I learnt to make the Origami Shirt and then planned a whole series of things.
I ordered a 'Fruit Punch' Pastry.............it turned out to be so very Yummy.....though meant for my Hubby...guess I enjoyed the major share....it was heavenly delicious!!!!

I put up a screen....with a big Origami shirt....this was fun! I made smaller shirts stuck them on Paper bags with a "Happy Father's Day" note and then put in some goodies in these bags. My nephew (8yrs old) made a bookmark for his Dad, Uncle and Grand Dads...he made cute ones with lovely messages. I made a mini scrapbook to go with each bag. These scrapbooks had "Best Dad", "Best Grand Father" Certificates (free printables from the net), some messages for the kids and some pictures of Dads with their kids. And ofocurse a pocket diary, pen , a key chain and their favorite snack treat was the complete goodie-goodie package!! All put together in just a day!

We had a fun badge for the Dads and they all loved the surprise. Each one opening their goodie bags, seeing their mini albums....priceless moments!!
And my hubby was overhwhelmed with the surprise and enjoyed his first Father's day!!

I could have taken better pictures....but I was so lost in all the fun...photography took a back seat.
